The Public Relations Institute of Australia’s Golden Target Awards set the standard for PR excellence in this industry. This year’s national awards were held in Brisbane last night, where Weber Shandwick Australia was lucky enough to be recognised in two categories, rounding out what has been a year of accolades for our teams.

We were delighted to win in Sustainability/Corporate Social Responsibility for our campaign with Nespresso to raise awareness of its national recycling program. Project Upcycle was an integrated campaign engaging both influencers and media, which led to a 1500% increase in sustainability coverage on the previous year and a significant increase in participation in the recycling program.

The recognition also continues to roll in for our work with Danone Nutricia, with our team receiving a Highly Commended in the Issues Management/Crisis Communication category last night. This campaign has been recognised on both a regional and global level, as best practice in the complex field of reputation management. In fact, it was recently named one of the World’s Best PR Programs by the Holmes Report.

Congratulations to the teams involved in these campaigns and for the agency’s collective efforts to deliver the best work possible for all of our clients, every day. We have a lot to be proud of and I look forward to continuing to raise the bar as we head into 2015.
