Weber Shandwick has been named to Advertising Age’s Agency A-List, an annual ranking of the best advertising and marketing firms. For the second year in a row, we are the only public relations firm to have been recognised. Advertising Age affirmed, “Public relations agencies don’t typically take the lead on digital or creative services or come up with risky ideas. But Weber Shandwick…isn’t just any PR agency.”
Advertising Age pointed to Weber Shandwick’s leadership in driving the transformation of the industry, highlighting our award-winning content publishing offering, Mediaco, as a strong digital growth driver, as well as successful investments in data and analytics. “The Advertising Age A-List represents the industry’s most innovative and successful ad agencies, the shops that are moving the industry forward,” said Matt Quinn, executive editor of Advertising Age. “That was especially true this year, when many honourees transformed themselves by broadening their capabilities and becoming more strategic partners to their clients.”
“We’ve ventured beyond traditional lines to integrate social, digital, content, publishing, advertising, PR and public affairs into solutions that drive business results for our clients,” said Andy Polansky, Chief Executive Officer, Weber Shandwick. “We are so proud of our exceptionally collaborative team around the world who bring our “engaging, always.” vision to life every day in the work we do and the way we work with each other. This is a tribute to them and our incredible client partners.”
The Advertising Age Agency A-List has been celebrating the best agencies in the advertising and marketing business since the mid-1970s. Ad Age editors make their selections based on elements including creativity, financial performance, innovation and the ability to build clients’ businesses. The franchise expanded in recent years to honour a broader range of organisations and reflect changes in the marketing and media business.
The A-List recognition comes on the heels of several industry honours earned by Weber Shandwick, including being named The Holmes Report’s 2014 Global Agency of the Year, as well as being named a Best Place to Work by Ad Age in 2014 and PRWeek in 2013 and 2014.
